week 5 - Metric

Remember to set Solidworks to work in metric/metres. To do this select: Tools > Options > Document Properties > Units > MKS (meter, kilogram, second). I believe you can do this at any point - you don't have to do this before starting or anything...

Make sure you read russell's, experiment 2, week 1 web-page; it explains what you need to do during today's (week 4) tutorial and also what you need to do, in your own time, before next week's tutorial.

David Butterworth has posted a most useful tutorial explaining how to embed video on your blog...

Assignment due next week...

Please make sure you carefully read Russell's EXPERIMENT 1: The Physical Effect of an Explosion on Porosity. page as well has his week 3 page... both pages have information on the assignment. In particular, note #4 "Come to next weeks lecture prepared to present your work, I'll be calling on students at random to discuss their work in front of the class"...
